"Gnosis" is the name of the show as the exclusive group of Catalonia (Spain) La Fura dels Baus will bring to Lagos on the 29th of this month. What is considered one of the largest companies in the world of experimental theater, presents a performance based on the role of the Portuguese period of discoveries, knowledge and the knowledge they brought to the world and focused on the figure of Prince Henry.
The show will take place in the Praça do Infante, from 22.00, and is freely available.
Integrated in ALLGARVE 2010 program to develop tourism in the region, conducted by the Algarve Tourism Board with support from several municipalities, Gnosis is already considered by many as one of the biggest events of the programming this year.
The biggest show of street entertainment ever held in Lagos is part of a gigantic production, based on major elements and notes with great pageantry, for example, a Ferris wheel with eight meters in diameter and a sound system with over 60 000 watts .
Due to the achievement of this show, it is reported that the transit will be terminated in whole or in part, on the Avenue of Discoveries (between Parking and Fire) in the next 27, 28 and August 29 in the following periods:
Day 27 - from 17.30 to 22.30
Day 28 - from 18.00 to 22.30
Day 29 - from 20.00 to 00.30

La Fura dels Baus, now with an estimated audience of around 3 million viewers, have a macro event, outdoors, where, among the 100 people who make up the team responsible for this show, 65 will be recruited in the region of Portugal Algarve, a gesture that aims to engage and bring the world to the artistic community.
The La Fura dels Baus is a Catalan theater group that became famous for his controversial performances and visually powerful. Founded in 1979, the group began by doing street shows, gaining visibility with the play Lenguaje Furer (1983), inserted into a wider cycle of shows dubbed Accions. With these shows, they printed a new theatrical concept grounded in the use of many scenic features such as music, dance, fireworks, use of natural materials and interaction with the viewer, creating a symbiosis between actor and author, merging into a single collective creation.
